March 2010 Annual Poster Session
The March 2010 AGS annual poster session was a great success with numerous posters and members attending. Also presenting were area students selected from the Science Fair. A few pictures are posted below.
John Mikels (Education Chair) presented certifications to 4 select science fair students.
Shane Valentine (Past President 2008-9) discusses BMP's with a Science Fair student.
Doug Wierman and Al Broun discuss some of the content of their pending publication: "Hydrogeolgic Atlas of the Blanco, Hays, and Travis Counties."
Al Cherepon displays his poster of Austin Area springs and a sampling program for pesticides. This work will be an upcoming AGS Bulletin paper. Thanks Al!
Nathanael Banda displays a new 3D geologic model of the Barton Springs segment of the Edwards Aquifer.
